- Payment and billing information for deposits and final invoices

We may also collect limited information through our website to improve performance and client experience, such as browser type, IP address, and service preferences.

- To provide contracting, handyman, or renovation services requested by the client

3. Consent and CASL Compliance
By submitting an online booking, estimate request, or payment, you provide meaningful consent for CNG to collect and use your information as outlined in this policy. In accordance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), all electronic communications from CNG will clearly identify our company and provide an easy unsubscribe link. No personal data is sold, rented, or traded to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Data Security and Retention
CNG employs physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to protect all personal information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, or modification. Access is limited to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis. Records are retained only as long as necessary to fulfill contractual, warranty, and legal requirements, after which they are securely destroyed.
6. Data Breach Notification
Under PIPEDA, CNG will promptly investigate any suspected or actual breach of security safeguards. If a breach poses a real risk of significant harm, affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada will be notified without delay. Records of incidents are kept for at least 24 months.
7. Client Rights and Access Requests
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, where permitted by law, by emailing info@cngcontracting.com. If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
8. International Data Transfers
CNG primarily stores and processes information in Canada. If personal data is accessed by service providers outside Canada, comparable levels of privacy protection will be maintained in accordance with PIPEDA.

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law or business operations. The updated version will be posted on our website with a new effective date.
